Founded in 2004 by former firefighters Keith Sharp and Dennis Weverink, CATS (Central Alabama Training Solutions) is a family-owned business built on experience, service, and a passion for safety. Headquartered in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, we’ve grown into a trusted provider of fire service equipment, industrial safety gear, and real-world training solutions. Our Training Facility
Located on an 8-acre campus in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, our state-of-the-art training facility is built to prepare responders for the real world. The site features a 9,200-square-foot training center, complete with a custom-designed burn building for live fire evolutions, a three-story tower for rope and high-angle rescue, underground vessels for confined space training, and gas simulators for propane emergency response. Designed by firefighters, for firefighters, our facility delivers immersive, hands-on training that builds skill, confidence, and operational excellence.
